The LaChapell 583E is a tube microphone preamplifier with EQ that is compatible with any 500 cabinet. The 583E EQ section can be operated either in series with the tube preamp or independently as a separate EQ. The 583E preamp section features a single channel tube preamp with LaChapell’s proprietary TrueTube™ technology. Most other tube designs for the 500 format do not provide enough current to the tube, whereas TrueTube allows it to perform optimally with a full voltage of 250V. Cinemag input transformers, Jensen output transformers and other high quality components have been carefully selected to ensure that signal quality is not compromised. In addition to the preamp, the 583E has an ultra-clean, phase-coherent EQ section. It can follow the preamplifier or be operated as a separate module.
